Restaurants.
Some restaurants in Bugue and the surroundings advised by John.
The Dordogne is very famous for its gastronomy. Food is delicious (salads, fatty, conserve liver pâté of duck, trouts, thighs of frogs, snails, etc…!).
Restaurants below have a good reputation, a good quality-price ratio and a perfect environment.
But once again: we cannot discuss about tastes and colors, most of it for snakes and frogs…!
Le Bugue : L´Abreuvoir
Inside, good atmosphere, especially behind under the vault.
To dine outside on a small place is also pleasant.
Be care to book !
Park in the main street (across the bridge, and straight on) in front of the church.
Follow the rising street, then on the right .
Le Bugue: Le Relais Buguois
This simple restaurant is on the left close to Intermarché. It’s preferable to book.
Large choice as well menus or wines. Pleasant to make entre-deux.
There is always enough room available to park, (even on the Intermarché’s carpark) but you can also go walking (800 m from the camp-site).
Le Bugue: Chez Oscar
If you want to have pleasure by tasting the local specialities, then go “chez Oscar”.
By beautiful weather you can eat there under the pergola with sight on Veyzère.
While crossing the bridge, you will see the terrace on right hand. It’s preferable to book, but attention: the restaurant is not open every evening!
Le Bugue: Le Parc

| At the top of the famous rock of Granelle which overhangs the camp-site, is hidden this small and nice restaurant. You can choose there: a good lunch or a dinner in the air-conditioned room, or outside under the parasol. In any of this both cases, you will find real pleasure there. What about the price? Very pleasant also ! |

On your left after the bridge, and again first on your left in front of the firesquad. Go to the top of the cornice, and it’s on the left in the small descent. It is more advisable to take the carpark on the right because of the lack of visibility of the turn.
St Chammasy: La vieille Cure
Here, there is only one restaurant. But what a restaurant! A true climax! You can take there pleasure of their kitchen in a particular atmosphere. The reservation is "a must" here. Caution: the price is also top !
From the camp-site, you turn right, direction to "Le Buisson". You turn left close to a small level crossing on your left just behind an enormous field.
Follow the panel “St Chammasy”. After a tight turn you arrive on the place of the village.
In this turn behind a wall hides «La vieille Cure».
Le Bugue / Audrix: La vieille Treille
From the camp-site you see rather high above the swimming pool a large tv transmitter pylon.
There is Audrix and its restaurant “La vieille treille”. A place which should have been seen.
Completely restored and… you will appreciate to be there ! (ouaf)
Il has there also a formidable environment. As well inside as outside. You’ve better to book.
On you right by leaving the campsite.
Left at the stop in front of LIDL, and right just after the bar.
Follow PROUMESSAC and Audrix pannels. At the top, after the Pit, right to Audrix.
You can park on the place close to the church. A little further, fantastic panorama !
